Christine offers a Colorful presentation of her watercolor children's illustrations and pencil/ink cartoons. She discusses the process of writing stories and illustrating a children's book from beginning to end. From sketches, to book dummies to final illustrations!

Write Out of the Oven!

Is the first children's book illustrated by Christine, published in 2005.

Write Out of the Oven! personally connects children in grades 5-8 with their favorite literary heroes! A collection of letters and recipes from more than 50 well-known and award-winning children's authors provide insights into their lives, advice to the children who wrote to them, and personal information. Each entry includes the student's letter to the author, the author's response, and a recipe from the author. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book goes to a children's literacy foundation.

Today's children live in a world filled with adventure, mental stimulation, topical issues, and personal challenges. The values they learn now, between the ages of 5 and 8, will shape the rest of their lives.

For groups of 25 or less, activities and freebies, such as Color Yourself Chris Mix Stickers & Bookmarks are available. (Please indicate if interested).

For teens and adults, Christine also has illustration career lectures, discusses portfolios, illustration markets and copyrights.

Equipment required by the school or library:

1. 35 mm slide projector and/or color overhead or opaque projector.

2. White projection screen or clear white wall (approx. 4 ft. X 4ft.).

3. White board or Flip chart with white paper & colored markers

4. White and/or colored scrap paper and pencils/crayons for kids in groups or 25 or less.

5. For large groups over 50 or in auditoriums, A Sound P.A. will be needed. However, Additional paper and pencils for kids will not be needed for large groups.

Program Length & Fees: 1 to 1 1/2 hours for Grades 1-2, 3 - 4, 5-8, Teens & Adults.

$225.00 - up to 30 mile radius, $125.00 per block booking

$300.00 - 35 up to 60 mile radius, $175.00 per block booking

$500.00 - 65 up to 120 mile radius, $275.00 per block booking

* 1/2 hour programs are available for Pre-scholars & Kindergarten!

1, 2 and 3 day Illustration/Art Programs are available for kids and adults, contact Christine for booking information

* PLEASE NOTE: Anything over 120 miles radius may require additional mileage, room & board/overnight fees - especially in the Winter.

* Out of State programs will require airfare, ground transportation, room & board paid for and arranged in advance.

* Payment for the programs themselves are due on the day of the program. A 50% deposit may be requested for programs over 70 miles or out of state - Negotiable

* Mileage included in Fees from South Londonderry, VT.
